Catch leaks before they cost you

Leaks rarely announce themselves. By the time a paddock turns green or a tank runs dry, the water's long gone. BushLinx® leak detection watches flow continuously and tells you as soon as water is moving when it shouldn't be.

How it works

• An inline flow sensor logs flow through the pipeline
• Flow outside normal patterns — overnight, or when nothing should be running — triggers an alert
• Alerts go out by SMS and email
• Flow totals show how the water system is performing over time

• Stock water systems — failed ball valves, overflowing troughs, burst lines
• Pump and windmill failure detection
• Irrigation mains and other pipelines

Pair it with tank monitors to see level as well as flow.

What a kit needs to work

Flow detection needs a meter that can report — one with a pulse output or a reed switch. Plenty of existing meters already have it, some need a head swapped, and we supply meters to suit where there's nothing there. The logger and mounts handle the rest.

Placement decides what you learn. A meter at the pump tells you about what the whole system is doing and when a pump fails of course; meters at branch points tell you which sub main or part of the property might be in trouble. Most people new to leak detection start with one installed somewhere they want the data from first, and add additional units if they find they want more data to inform and alert whats happening to water systems across the property.

Tuning the alert

The useful signal is flow when there shouldn't be any — overnight, or on a day nothing is running. Setting that threshold takes a week or two of normal usage to learn the property's pattern, which we do with you rather than guessing at install.

Getting one

Direct from us in South Australia and Victoria, or through a distributor. It's usually installed alongside tank monitors, so level and flow are visible in the same place.
